Russia warns next War will be against Finland. Even now, Russia is constantly bombing Ukraine amongst the civilian localities of Ukraine. Russia has openly said that we will not tolerate Sweden and Finland being a part of NATO. Recently, Russia put forward the Russian military of foreign affairs and eight-point treaty with a list of security demands of the Western alliance in December 2021. These cover reverting a NATO forces to 1997 locating, prohibit new members from joining the alliance, and limiting NATO’s presence in Eastern Europe. Together with Austria, Cyprus, Ireland, and Malta, Finland and Sweden are the only European states that are not a member of NATO. Both have been military neutral since World war II, although the end of the Cold War reignited the NATO question in both countries. It’s been addressed many times that Sweden is the most peaceful country in the world. And in 2014 Sweden celebrated its 200 years of peace. Sweden also claimed that we have not participated in any major war from 1814 to 2022. Over the year the Sweden government worked on education, culture and also boost human development.
The challenge to Finland and Sweden
The Russian government openly convey Bonn’s challenge warning to Sweden and Finland. Russia said to both the countries that if you join NATO, then you can also have a condition like Ukraine. And, when Ukraine asked to help NATO, it was told that we do not want any kind of WAR from Russia. When Russia warned these two countries, these two countries changed their tone and said that they will not join NATO. And we will maintain our neutrality policy.
