History

According to the Hindu mythological text such as Valmiki’s ,Ramayana and the Mahabharata ,the festival of Rama Navami is important. If, we look the flashback of this day then we can observe that the king Dasharatha was not having a child. He was advised by the Rishi Vasishta to performed the Putra kamesti yagna. After the successful of the yagna ,ultimately all the queen’s of the king Dasharatha gave birth. Kausalya gave birth to lord Rama, Sumitra gave birth to the lord Shatrughan and lord Lakshman while Kaikai gave birth to lord Bharat. The lord Rama is worshipped for his virtuous and righteous nature. He is also known as Maryada Purushottam. He is the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Significance of this day

All the Hindu people celebrates Rama Navami every year on the birth mark of Lord Rama. He is such kind of god which is considered a symbol of truth and righteousness. People hailed him for his dharma, virtue and for good conduct. People liked him for his simplicity and good courageous.

Celebration of Rama Navami

The Hindu people follow rituals practiced on this day by visiting the temple and offer prayer to god of Lord Rama. On this day a rath yatra taken out in Ayodhya which is his birth place of him. A massive crowd is seen every where in the country on this day. On this day all the government school’s and colleges or offices are remain closed. A heavy procession is taken out in the evening. It is celebrated across the nation with great fervor and enthusiasm. People enchanted Jai Shree Ram and sing Hanuman Chalisha or perform Aarti on this day.
