The United Arab Emirates is one of the dustiest countries and UAE’s national center of meteorology published a video of heavy rain in the part of UAE’s region recently.

Dubai makes artificial rain to face a heatwave

The city of Dubai, which is considered to be another name for glamour and where all kinds of comforts are available.
Now here Dubai needs to be made artificial rain to cope with the extreme heat. UAE’s National Center of metrology department has created artificial rain in Dubai to beat excessive heat. As you all know, Dubai is situated in the desert, due to the lack of natural sources, it does not get appropriate rain here, and the people of Dubai’s Face hardship of water scarcity, but now the scientists of UAE has developed a tremendous technology which will help to do fake rain. In the month of July, the temperature of Dubai has surpassed 40 °c. After the increase in temperature, there has been a need for artificial rain or fake rain. The UAE government has invested $15 million dollars in the fake rain enhancement project in 2017.
Due to the increase in an extreme heatwave in Dubai, the metrology department has developed a new technology, to avoid the heat. A tremendous technology has been developed to make rain without any actual monsoon season arrives.
The rain will be done through drone technology and this technique is called cloud seeding.
This innovative technology has produced precipitation by giving an electric shock to the clouds and clump together that could help to make a fake rain. A few months ago, UAE director Alya-Al-mazroui told Arab News about the rain-enhanced science research program. This technology works on electric charge emissions with payload customized sensors. This drone flies at a low altitude and releases electric charge into the air molecules, after which cloud precipitation starts to occur.
Cloud seeding technology was first developed in 1946 by American chemist Vincent Schaefer in which a compound of silver iodide is sprayed over clouds in the sky. This forces the small droplets present in the clouds to meet each other particles and eventually these droplets become so heavy that they start falling into the ground as rain due to the earth’s gravitational force, this rain is called artificial rain or fake rain. A dam has been built in the Al- Hajar Mountain in Dubai. And this mountain is also known as Oman Mountain. Above which, cloud seeding is done in the sky, after which the rain starts and the water is collected in this dam. This water is used to generate electricity for drinking and for other important purposes. And now cloud seeding is also being used to avoid extreme heat.
