Continuing the development of artillery rocket system, DRDO has launched endogenously an enhanced “Pinaka“ Rocket System for the country.DRDO successfully test fired the enhance fire range version of indigenous Pinaka rocket, from a multi barrel rocket launchers on 24 and 25 June2021 ,integrated test range at chandipur of the coast off Odisha. 25 numbers of an enhanced pinaka rocket per launched in quick succession against target at different ranges. Extended range version of “Pinaka” rocket tested by DRDO in Odisha.
All the missions objective for made during the launches the enhanced range version of ’Pinaka’ rocket system can be destroyed targets at distance of 45 kms. DRDO has successfully test fired the enhanced range version of indigenously, these rockets have been developed for army applications and can easily destroyed target up to 40 km.This enhanced rocket system would replace the existing 122 mm grad rockets. OurDefence minister Rajnath Singh and chairman of DRDO Dr.G Sathees Reddy praised officially for the efforts of the team involving in successful trials.
