Maruti Suzuki Top Model Passenger Vehicle Export, Beats Mostly Car Makers In India 2021 | In First-Quarter Financial Year

The time period of Corona has been a difficult time for all carmakers. Because at the time of Corona, the sales of all the carmakers had dropped drastically.  But in the meantime, the big news has come out among us that Maruti Suzuki carmaker has grabbed the top position by shipping more than 45000 units.  All the car manufacturers bring more than one top model in the market and try their best to make their brand reach as many people as possible in the country and international market.  The entire car manufacturer wants to see themselves ahead of each other.

 Although passenger vehicle exports in the market were led by Hyundai till now, now in the first quarter of the current financial year, Maruti Suzuki has dealt a huge blow to all the car manufacturers by just securing the position. Maruti Suzuki was founded in 1981 and its headquarter is in New Delhi. The Maruti Suzuki car makers cover up to 50% of the domestic market and it is the largest passenger car company in India. Maruti car manufacturers have today vast portfolios of 16 Maruti Suzuki car models with over 150 variants.

 If we see in the first quarter of the current financial year, Maruti Suzuki has exported a total of 45,056 units in the market.  Whereas during the last financial year, Maruti Suzuki could export only 9410 units.

Hyundai South Korean carmakers exported 29,881 vehicles in the first quarter of the current year.  Whereas last year Hyundai carmakers could export 12,541 units.  The current market share growth of 12.16 percent is registered by Maruti Suzuki carmakers. While Kia Motors is at the third position with its units exported.  This is followed by the export of 11,566 units recorded by Volkswagen.  The least number of commercial vehicles has been exported by Isuzu 2 units & Toyota 3 units in this current first quarter of the financial year.

Now let’s talk about the indigenous car maker, these include Tata Motors and Mahindra Motors which have exported 345 units and 2,496 units respectively. And now let’s talk about the market share of Renault, Nissan, and Fiat Chrysler automobiles (FCA) has reduced.  This carmaker has been able to export only a very few units. Here Renault has been able to export 4,489 units while Nissan has been able to manufacture 1,624 units.  Honda carmaker has also been able to export 2,596 units in the market while Ford carmaker has exported 8,685 units.  Currently, Maruti Suzuki is selling a total of 13 models in the market.  With the festive season approaching, Maruti Suzuki will be launching some of its new brands like the Tata Tiago and Grand i10.  Presently a total of 127,115 vehicles have been exported which has been registered in the first quarter of the current financial year.
