Maruti Suzuki is ready to keep leave behinds the TATA vehicles in 2023- it is expected the range will up to 500 km
It is expected to be launched in early of 2025,Maruti Suzuki’s electric segment vehicle is keep itself ready to equivalent smashed of TATA and Mahindra EVs. We all know that the Maruti Suzuki vehicles are very delayed to producing its product of electric segment in the market. While the TATA and the MAHINDRA keep themselves already ready in the field of electric segments. We have already seen in the market to TATA Nexon. TATA Nexon is very attractive electric car, people are also giving their priority to purchase this segment. There are many reasons for buy it like as no fuel is required, giving its good range, registration process is also very lucid.
Maruti Suzuki is an India’s largest car maker manufacturer, will reveal its first all electric model by codenamed YY8 at upcoming 2023 Auto Expo. It will be the company’s star concept for 2023. It will be based on the same concept like as Future –S was in 2018 and Future –e in 2020. Maruti YY8 will be manufacturing in Gujarat workshop. Electric segment vesicles will complete its demand in domestic market and as well as in international market. It is expected to export its 50% vehicles in international market. As per the reports, YY8 is being developed in collaboration with Toyota which is likely to launch its own rebadged version of the electric vehicle.
Range of Maruti YY8 as in electric vehicles and specs
Maruti Suzuki will produce its YY8 electric SUV with 48 kWh and 50 kWh battery pack options. They are giving better broader segment to the users for various needs and preferences. As per the testing records , the vehicle will give its range around 400 km to 500 km. if we talk about the power of output then it will produce 138 hp to 170 hp. The Maruti Suzuki will be available in two wheel drive and all wheel drive options. It is assumptions that AWD will available for export market but it is not certain.
As per the data, the TATA Electric vehicles used traditionally LFP cylindrical cell but Maruti YY8 will use LFP blade cells batteries. It is coming from BYD, a leading China based automotive manufacturer. The technology of blade cell claims itself superior in terms of range, weight and space utilization. As extra cells can be packed within the available space, blade battery can deliver in higher range. BYD blade battery claims itself lot safer than the other battery technologies. It has run over the nail penetration test with surface temperature is being limited up to 30 to 60 degree Celsius. Other extreme methods have applied on the battery like crushing it, bending it and heating it, over charging it in a furnace. But BYD battery has found claims of no fire or explosion.

Maruti Suzuki YY8 electric vehicle is based on the 27PL born electric skateboard architecture and that is derived from Toyota’s 40PL global platform. If we talk about the wheelbase of this car then you could get 2700mm of wheelbase and huge interior and packed will be enlarge battery in it. There will be short overhangs trending line in electric vehicles of YY8. Interesting is that the wheels will be placed towards the edges, as far as possible and that will allow more space inside of the car. There is an expectation in YY8 that will have longer to 4.2 m and it is too approximately of Creta which is 4.3 m. it is beyond thinking of Maruti Suzuki Company and this mode will be based on futuristic.
